Prayers needed for the Hathaway family. They were headed to Florida 3 days ago for a family cruise for Spring break when they were rear-ended by another vehicle traveling 120 mph. It demolished their van, but God spared their lives! However, all 4 of them sustained multiple broken bones and injuries. The mother and oldest son are in a Florida hospital while the youngest son had to be flown to Cincinnati for surgery, & the dad was able to be with him. The daughter & her husband were in another vehicle and are ok. They currently live in SC, but the mom is originally from here. I grew up with her family.

Tooth extracted this morning (March 13). I was blessed by a church member who took me to the appointment, waited for the extraction to end and brought me home. She also picked up my required meds at the pharmacy.
Of course the area is very painful and tender. I can not eat any food that requires chewing. I can have ice cream, soup, yogurt, apple sauce etc. The doctor's staff gave me a cup of ice cream to eat for lunch!
I can eat warm soups Thursday.
On Friday I will start using the oral rinse prescription.

Please continue to lift our son Sean in prayer. During hurricane in Florida he suffered a relapse in his sobriety. He is now due to enter a new transitional home.

My son Sean had a brief relapse. He is back in transitional living. Please continue to pray that our Lord will surround him with strong Christian men and women to support him and be mentors and role models. Please pray to bind spirits of addictions, fear, anxiety. Prayer of thanksgiving for the constant renewing of his mind, body, spirit by the Holy Spirit. God is good, faithful and victorious.

Thank you for your prayers. Our son Sean continues in his journey to a new lifestyle of sobriety.
Please continue to pray for friendships of strong Christian men and women that will act as role models and mentors.
He struggles with negative self-talk. Please pray for wisdom to shut out negativity and replace it with truth of God's unconditional love, a perfect plan and purpose for his life.
Pray for his victory over fear, anxiety, shame. Pray for improved relationships with his daughter and ex.

Daughter, Megha, also assaulted by unbelieving family member who demands they stop gathering people for worship in their home. (A&R's field). Ask for God's protection over their home used as the church building for many in the village. Right now, the church from Lendipada is also coming here since the persecution has reached fever pitch in their area close by Aadne.
Abba Father, thank you for the promise that you will never leave or forsake your people.
Although they may be hated or persecuted for your namesake, their reward from you is great.
We pray you give your persecuted children the grace to endure in persecution.
Help them love their enemies.
Fill them with peace that passes understanding.
Let their hearts be full of hope.
Let the enemies of the gospel see the beauty of Jesus in these church members.
Use them as your witnesses. Bring many to salvation through their testimony.
And cause them to be fruitful disciple-makers who multiply other disciple-makers.

Please pray for a mom who is having to stay on-call once every two months to protect her child from visitation with a dad who has threatened their lives and is currently on the run from the police with many outstanding warrants. Please pray for Silas, a 16-month old who is having lots of problems with ear/sinus congestion. He had tubes put in his ears a few months ago, but the severe congestion is continuing. My marriage is in trouble. We have been married for over 8 years, and we are continuing to have the same issues over and over. Biblical grounds for divorce were uncovered 4 years ago, but I tried to believe things would get better. Things are not better. We went to counseling, but that fell through. I do not know what to do next. Please pray for God to move in my husband's heart or for him to give me a divorce.

Praise God for Englewood and the church family and their support, God has used Kings academy in 2023 as we have seen 1in 5 baptism in Englewood come through Kings academy, volunteers in our kids ministry, many many Awana kids, father son campers, mens ministry attendees, Women at Bible study attended come through the school. Christian Davenport’s daughter, Maiya delivered her daughter, Ivy Grace, 2 weeks early.
Ivy Grace will be in the Special Care Unit at UNC Health Nash for at least the next 3 days for testing and observation due to difficulty breathing and unstable oxygen levels (they keep dropping).
Please pray for Maiya as she heals and recovers from a difficult labor and delivery and Ivy Grace as they try to determine why her oxygen levels keep dropping so they can stabilize her breathing.

Update: Our granddaughter is still in a temporary facility that does very little to help her. There are frequent fights in the unit, and paperwork for transfer to another facility is just being processed after 3 weeks. Please pray she can be moved soon to a safe, capable facility. Please pray also for the family. The stress is affecting the whole family, and her mom had to resign from her job to handle the constant paperwork and visits. The court trial scheduled for Thursday has been delayed until Feb. 22 or later. Please pray the repeat offender will not recant his assault confession and that our granddaughter will not need to attend court and testify. Thank you so much for your prayers.

URGENT Update: Please continue prayers for our sweet 15 year old granddaughter's mental health. She desperately needs treatment in a residential facility. She was released from a temporary facility Friday into her father's care, but had to be involuntarily committed Saturday night. She hates everyone and is threatening suicide. The current temporary facility will release her after 7 days and doesn't help find a new place. After several days of constant calling, we found a bed available. When she attempted suicide in June, she was incorrectly registered in a Medicaid plan that doesn't pay for long term care. Please pray that Medicaid will approve today the request sent several weeks ago for long term care. Please pray for the family as we're somewhat numb from stress and developing health problems from it. Thank you so much.

Please pray for our 15 year old granddaughter who ran away last night. Praise God she was found after a 3 hour search by family, police, and sheriff's dept. She attempted suicide in June, and is under psychiatric care. She didn't want to return to her home or ours, and hates us all now. Please pray for her mother, brother, and sister who are each under extreme stress from medical/work-related issues. Please pray for wisdom and physical strength for us all during this confusing time. Thank you so much.

Chris Pridgen Praise for Ed
Praise report on my husband Ed, he had his three month follow up for a Pet scan, CT scan and scope and there is no sign of cancer nor is there any sign of a tumor ever being on the base of his tongue. Doctor said everything looks completely normal, Only God! The doctor said he will not have to have another Pet scan or CT scan again, however he will need to have the scope down his nostril to take a look at the base of his tongue every three month.
God is so amazing, I don’t know what we would have done without him as he carried my husband through when he didn’t think he could go on.

Please keep my older Sister (80 yrs old) lifted in prayers.
It has been discovered a spot in her upper right lung which we will have a biopsy done at Rex Hospital in Jan 24th.
We are praying not cancer and just a spot if undiscovered before walking pneumonia or goes away by then.

10/11 Update on my husband Ed, he had his bloodwork done today and it was good. He also had his Pet scan and there was nothing suspicious, doctor was pleased! We praise God for his healing and we go back in three months for more bloodwork and another Pet scan. Thanks for your many prayers.

10/2 Update on my husband Ed,
We are almost three months out from his cancer treatments and he has gotten most of his strength back, his taste is coming back slowly. We go back October 10th for a Pet scan to confirm that his cancer is gone and more blood work so please continue to keep him in your prayers for an awesome report. There is victory in Jesus and his mercies are new every morning. Thank you for your continued prayers through his journey and we are anxious to put this chapter behind us.

This is certainly a praise report, the cancerous tumor is gone. Thank you Jesus and for the many prayers that have been uttered. To God be the Glory for the great things he had done. 8/7 Update on my husband Ed,
we are a month out from his treatments and he is getting a little stronger every day. Two weeks ago we went to Duke for bloodwork and to see the chemo doctor. His bloodwork levels were improving and the doctor said he was pleased. We go back tomorrow Tuesday the 8th and the radiation doctor will put a scope down his nostril and take a look at the base of his tongue. Three weeks into his radiation he did this same procedure and the cancer was 75-80% gone. He had radiation for seven weeks so please pray the it’s 100% gone. We are so trusting God for an awesome outcome. Thank you for being with us through this journey and your prayers. Hope to be back in church soon!

7/8/23 Update on my husband Ed, this past Wednesday July 5th was his last radiation treatment and over a week ago his last chemotherapy. Praise God we are done, just some follow up appointments with bloodwork in two weeks and then in four weeks they will put a scope down his nostril and take a look. Three months from now, he will have another pet scan so please continue to pray for good results. Also pray for a speedy recovery that he will get stronger and get all his taste buds back. Thank you! God is so good!

4/5/23 UPDATE: Ed, just returned home from Duke Health for consultation and with all that’s going on, they had already reviewed his records and did the biopsy while we were there. The preliminary findings are that he has squamous cell carcinoma and now we are waiting for an appointment for the Pet scan. So continue to pray for him! Thanks.
