Denise Murdock: Update on our grandson, Asher

UPDATE - 10/2/22:

Hi friends,

I wanted to thank you all very much for all your prayers for our grandson Asher. Our daughter was able to take him to see a pediatric specialist late last night finally and get the first round of the antibiotic injection. She had to bring him back around 2:00 pm today for a second round of antibiotic injections, they were very kind and nice to her. His ears are still incredibly infected and there's a lot of fluid still.

Asher will be having surgery on Thursday (Oct. 6) to put tubes in his ears. They don't want to wait any longer because they're concerned about the fluid buildup. She needs to take him back tomorrow to check his ears again to see if he will need a third round of the antibiotic injection. The good thing is she's now found an excellent pediatric ENT who will be following up his care and the new medical clinic she went to specializes in children so they won't have to go to the Military Base anymore or care for the kids.

Thank you very much we appreciate all your kindness, prayers and thoughts.

ORIGINAL POST - 9/16/22:

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Reaching out to ask for prayer for our baby grandson Asher who is 16 months old. Asher has been very sick for about 2 weeks with very severe ear infections and high fevers but they have been unable to be treated with conventional antibiotics and fever reducing medicine.

Today our daughter Rebekah and her husband Zachary have been advised to seek immediate treatment at the closest Children's Hospital. Zachary USMC is stationed outside of Washington, D.C. so they are looking to go to the children's hospital there. The base military doctor is very concerned that Asher may have fluid building up on his brain and an infection. They are in need of a child's MRI and or CT scan and further testing which they cannot offer on the military base for children.

Please pray for healing, wisdom for the doctors, and peace for his parents and family. Thank you so much for your prayers!

God bless,

Richard and Denise Murdock
