Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need. - Hebrews 4:16

Pray for Belva Cooper

UPDATE (9/25/21): They have raised Belva's oxygen level to 60% today, as her oxygen levels continue to drop/remain low and today her blood pressure is low and doctors are having trouble stabilizing it. She has also started running a fever, so please pray they will be able to bring this back to normal.

Doctors are now thinking that Belva may have developed another infection in addition to the Covid she is currently fighting. Please pray they can quickly diagnose what is going on and treat it. Continue to pray that they can get the blood clots in her lungs and leg under control and pray for rest/peace for Mike, and their son Will.

UPDATE (9/22/21): Mike said that Belva's echo yesterday came back normal, praise the Lord! They were able to lower her oxygen intake now from 40% to 35%. Her BP continues to be good, as is her heart rate, and they have started her on a feeding tube today to begin helping her regain her strength! Mike continues to thank everyone for their prayer support, and sees the hand of God working!

UPDATE (9/20/21): Mike is with Belva today. The doctors told him that her kidneys are improving, and that her oxygen levels are good enough that they have been able to cut the levels from 60% down to 40%. They continue to keep her sedated so she can rest. Mike thanks everyone for their prayers and asks to keep them coming! God is definitely at work!

UPDATE (9/19/21): Please continue to pray for Belva as they moved her into ICU around noon today. Pray for Mike as he has been told he cannot see her until tomorrow.

Praise the Lord that her oxygen level is up & her fever is gone.

Praise that her BP is normal but they are still worried about blood clots in her lungs and the low oxygen level may have caused unknown damage to her heart.

Pray they will be able to reduce the sedation levels soon. They had to up her sedation because she was breathing over top of the ventilator.

ORIGINAL REQUEST (9/18/21):Belva is in Nash/UNC Hospital being treated earlier today for low oxygen levels due to Covid.

Around 10:30 pm, her husband Mike was called by the hospital and told that Belva was put on a ventilator and was diagnosed with blood clots in her lung and that she is going in to kidney failure.

Please pray for divine healing and that the ventilator will only be temporary. Pray her kidneys will begin functioning properly again and for her oxygen levels to increase.

Pray for her husband Mike- for peace and comfort that only Jesus can give and for their son Will and his wife - comfort and the assurance that the Lord has all of this in His hands.
