UPDATE (10/2/21) Paula was just readmitted to Rex Hospital with an internal infection deep in her wound from the ileostomy reversal on 9/2. Surgeon has said she could be in the hospital anywhere from 2 days to a week. Please pray for quick healing from this infection and that it will not lead to any other complications.

UPDATE (9/29/21) Please continue to pray for my mom, Paula Loges. The good news is that her sodium came up to borderline normal on the most recent blood tests, but the bad news is, the tests indicate she may have a blood clot.

Please pray for wisdom for the doctors and if they determine she needs a CT scan or any other tests, etc., - that all the details will work out and they will find out what’s been causing her fever and malaise and that it will be easily treated.

UPDATE (9/24): Please continue to pray for my mom, Paula Loges. Her sodium levels are slowly coming up, but she now has some unusual drainage from the incision site. Please pray an antibiotic will clear up any infection and she won’t need to be readmitted.

ORIGINAL REQUEST (9/21): Please pray for my mom, Paula Loges, she had ileostomy reversal surgery 9/2 and came home from Rex 9/10. She has been running a fever off and on the last several days (dr started her on an antibiotic) and she also has had a lot of swelling. Blood tests today showed that she has low sodium levels. She will start salt tablets tomorrow, but will need to be hospitalized if her levels don’t improve. Blood will be re-drawn on Wednesday.
