UPDATE 10/31/21

AJ completed his first round of chemo for this cycle today. He went back for a MRI on the brain to verify no mass since he's been experiencing some change in vision/started seeing black specs. They will do a specific treatment to clean any leukemia cells trying to get to his brain Monday or Tuesday. Still no appetite and in a lot of pain but that should change in the next few days! This is an 11 day chemo treatment and by then his genetically modified cells should be ready for him at UNC

This is from our daughter Kally. Her boyfriend AJ is still battling Leukemia. We are praying for remission ASAP, to go to immediately to Bone Marrow Transplant to CANCER FREE! Kelly and I thank you for prayers!

PA (physicians assistant) came in with some tough news this morning. AJ is showing 95% leukemia cells. They are actively trying to get with UNC to see if the Car T cells are available or if we need to start treatment during the wait period but AJ is in desperate need for something to lower his blasts. He is in a lot of pain due to the leukemia cells taking over and they plan to start steroids and chemo drips today to start getting it under control while they create a plan. if Car T cells are available and ready we will be transferred to UNC today or tomorrow, if they are not available he will either start another course of treatment in Greenville or still be transferred to UNC to do the same treatment there. He no longer has a fever and is still experiencing some nausea and vomiting.
