Thank you for visiting Englewood's Prayer Wall and for praying for the requests below. We believe in the power of prayer to transform our hearts, lives, homes and beyond.
This prayer has been answered!
NC Baptist On Mission Team in New Orleans (Sept. 18 - 25, 2021)
NCBM Team came back safely - on September 25. Much good work was done on this trip and the team stayed strong and healthy. Praise the Lord!
Please pray for the following requests that came in from our current EBC Team who is serving in New Orleans LA this week with the NCBM:
* Please pray for a team member's grandson (who is 10 yrs. old) from Asheboro. He is here serving and found out yesterday that this grandson has a brain tumor and needs immediate surgery. Pray that this tumor would be eliminated completely by His healing hand! But if not? That this family would have courage to face what comes next.
* Their Medical Team lost their site nurse on Friday due to her falling at the site and breaking her leg. She had surgery on Sunday (9/19), and will fly back to New Bern in a couple of days. Her family has flown in to be with her and transport her back by air. Please pray for quick healing and a painless flight home.
The team lost their site safety director as he unfortunately amputated his thumb last week in an accident here at the site. He also had surgery this weekend. They are not sure if they were able to reattach his thumb. But please pray for his healing.
Accidents happen but not usually of this caliber. Please pray for the people here, that they would remain encouraged and persevere as Satan attacks.
They have 40 people here to run the whole site. Not having enough people means they have to cut back on what they can do. Less food goes out, jobs have to wait to be done or not at all if help doesn't come out. So, please pray that teams will answer the call and come out and serve here. Blue tarps are everywhere on houses here downtown. Many needed to help them and most importantly share Jesus with them.
Their feeding team (Stephen, Rose, & Libby) will have one full day of feeding and then will (tentatively) switch to recovery, as feeding is less needed now that most have power back on. Please pray for endurance and safety, as this is nasty, hot, and can be dangerous work toting out wet stuff from houses and helping put tarps on roofs and tearing out walls.
The EBC Laundry & Shower team (Judy) is busy washing for the linemen and the volunteers that are finishing up electrical repairs here. They are also cleaning showers as they have to be sanitized after every use, and limited showers now that other units have been deployed to the North in New Jersey.
Pray as this team keeps everyone refreshed!
